Because of the smaller space, this year-round store is a compact version of our holiday store, with 22 of our holiday store members. We offer a broad and exciting range of locally handcrafted work for you to choose from. You now have the opportunity to buy from local artists for occasions like birthdays, anniversaries and year-round treats for yourself! Click here for more details. About us The Sign of the Dove (formerly The Christmas Store) is now 38 years old, the oldest artist cooperative in New England! The Sign of the Dove was started by a small group of artists, including Clara Wainwright, in 1971. It has always been a cooperative and has usually been located in Porter Square in Cambridge.
